I am not sure I can follow what you are saying...

You want proof that the Realist-format (and extensions) is not part of
the past, but also the present and future?  Look at RBT (the company).
They make Realist-format mounts, viewers and projectors.  Today.
Look at the number of people who actively use this format today with
older (Realist, etc.) or newer cameras (FED, etc.)

And, again, if you are using slide film to take stereo pictures, you
can send it to any film developer and ask to be returned uncut. I do
that for both my Realist and full-frame 35 mm rolls.  You can then
cut and mount your rolls in any mounts you like.  Kodak will still
mount your Realist-format roll (per Jerry Gore's recent posting).

The Realist-format is alive and well!
