Response:
Ah Ha! The "print" word again. I'll let it "slide" this time. ;-)
List members :remember that quality Realist format prints are available through mail
order companies such as Grand Photo. And when you get them back they don't require
any alignment.
Just a public service reminder to those who want to stay with prints.

(George, I wasn't directly responding to your point in the message, just siezing an
opportunity) :-)

Response:
This is true if you use the conventional solid twin bar attachment. With a simple
modification you can have a "Twin Hinge" or "Twinge" bar, that allows a change from a
6" separation to a 3" separation.
Just cut the bar in half, fasten a hinge, and you now have a twin rig that can take
horiz. hypers as well as vertical format candids. It only takes one second to convert
the bar from one format to the other.

I will say that if I had a Realist format camera with me at the time, I would use it
for the candids anyway rather than a twin rig, but sometimes you only have one camera
system with you. In that case, a twin rig can be designed to be useful for candids
too.
