V-M interocular etc.

Remember that V-M was not originally intended primarily for children. A
look at the early listings show that the majority of titles were "adult"
subjects. However, I obtained my first View-Master at age 10, and had no
difficulty seeing these views in 3D. 

On this subject, everyone knows that stereoscopic viewing used to be
"family entertainment" as well as intended for educational purposes in
schools.  Did anyone concern themselves with the interocular problem then,
or did the large lenses accomodate for varying eye separation?
