RE: Realist format (Greek Wars?) Gabriel and George.

I haven't had so much fun reading in days. (I dimmed out on the VM
stuff, but congratulate Jamie!)

For Garbiel..I have all formats in stereo including a FED, which is
stillborn in having a programmed exposure system that favors med.
f/stops and high shutter speeds when stereo demands small f/stops for
universal depth of field. I appreciate the convenience of it however, if
it doesn't fall apart in rough use.
Also about the subtlties of slide bar and twin cameras (point & shoot or
deluxe SLR): they usually don't sync well and the lenses are matched, so
stereo is inferior. Slide bar acan only do still life not outdoor
subjects. If a leaf moves or clouds move you have "specular
interference" or other diatractions. (Perhaps only seen in a good
viewer?)
I also think Kodachome 25 in 35mm beats out any medium format. Medium
format is still a "miniature camera" in the orginal definition which
judged anything under 3 1/4 by 4 1/4 inches to have the miniature
problems of grain, dust and poor detail rendition. Hence the "Miniature
Speed Graphic name!) Films have improved so things are better.
It is the print stereos that can't be made easily, except with a Loreo
(which is the prime camera form making ready to use WEB stereo!)
See how you guys have stimulated me already! BobH
