I was thinking this would be the basis of a good V-M set myself. The book is
called 3D Museum, and the artist is Makoto Sugiyama. ISBN is 4-09-385515-3. The
book was published in Japan and costs about $50. A viewer is built into the
binding, and each page features a famous painting rendered as a stereo pair.
Everyone from Botticelli to Dali is represented, and the conversions are
incredible. This effect really does bring a whole new life to pictures so
familiar that you don't really *look* at them anymore. I don't think I'd ever
noticed the landscape behind the Mona Lisa, for instance, until I saw it in 3D!
