I agree. Kodak has recently improved their PCDs. It's worth it to look
for a lab that has done the upgrade. Kodak, through mailers, of course.
AlphaCD in Menlo Park CA was a beta site for Kodak' upgrade and they will
work from realist format. I ran some tests a while back and found
negative to PCD definately better quality than slide to PCD. If you have
pix in which the lighting varies from normal amatuer pix, ask the lab to
"scanlock". If you're shooting the whole roll under the same lighting,
shooting a grey card on the first frame and asking to have the whole roll
printed with that filterpack might be a good idea.
