RE; Stereo in everyones' hands? Cliff, Sam, Dr. T and John B. comments!

Well at one time this had happened when the parlour stereo viewer was
the "TV" of the Victorian age and afterward for a time. How many
millions of view cards were turned out in original photos and
reproductions? I think Wm. Henry Jackson mentions the problem of turning
out 40,000 stereo views photo prints for one order. So once stereo was a
household word, but like Kodak, AT&T, DuPont or General Motors they once
ruled the world not have been fragmented by competition or other
interests for the publics money.
Stereo today is like black and white photography a quaint art form. BobH
