Isn't this true of ANY stereo? The depth in a Realist slide can only be seen
when viewed with both eyes. Tangentially, one of the most memorable images I
have is of projecting some experimental 3D films for Andre de Toth in the early
1980s, and seeing him sitting attentively in the screening room with his
polaroid glasses perched over his eye patch.
