  Well, Cliff has certainly got you going! It's an old idea actually, at least
as old as Dadaism. Webster says it best:

  Dada- an artistic movement based on deliberate irrationality and negation of
the laws of beauty and organization.

  That describes it pretty good, doesn't it?

  I would also add, "they usually want to provoke an angry response which they
thoroughly enjoy." It may be better to let it slide than to argue with him.
