Storage of V-M reels.

Talking about using storage boxes intended for other purposes, the plastic
envelopes 3" floppies come in, seem to make perfect envelopes for V-M reels.
Do these envelopes have any detrimental effect on the reels. (I know the 
effect of plastic on slides was talked about at lenght a while back, but
I don't remeber seeing anything mentioned about the floppy envelopes.)
Incidently the 3" floppy storage boxes that hold 50 or 100 floppies also
make excellent containers for the V-M reels.
