ALL RIGHT...LISTEN UP! I'M IN CHARGE OF THIS EXHIBIT AND......how's
that? Forceful enough? ;-)
I do realize that this is not a new idea by any stretch of the
imagination, but it WOULD be new for Victoria, B.C. I'm sure there are
several other locations where this would be new to the current generation
of gallery go'ers as well. I've never seen anything in my travels, so it
can't be happening too frequently.
My main intention is to expose un-initiated to use of 3D photography
by current artists. This would not be my first time as curator...I have
five exhibitions under my belt and am used to all the silliness that
usually ensues.
After some discussions with one of the curators at the gallery today,
and responses to my post this morning, I have pretty much decided that I
will strive for an actual instalation of slides in some sort of viewing
system, as well as a few other select formats such as anaglyph and
lenticular.
I'd appreciate hearing from people who have seen similar installations
and their impressions of what worked or didn't work.
:-)jamie (who would never agree that Dr.T was an 'old timer' after seeing him)
