Re:3D Exhibition

I have been tossing the idea around for the past couple weeks to
put together an exhibition of 3D photography. There are two options,
one is fairly simple and would cost little or no money to initiate. The
second would take a fair bit of time and more $$$. Either option would
involve people on this list, as well as an open invitation in
StereoWorld, etc...to send in one mounted image (probably 2x2 mounts) of
their choice. There would have to be a wee bit of curatorial editing.

Option #2- small, wall-mounted slide viewers are built which will hold
one slide each. A button on the side can turn on a halogen bulb, so the
light is not running all of the time. This option would allow people to
view images at their own pace and with the benefits of seeing the detail
of the actual slide, but it would also mean a far smaller number of
total slides than option #1.

Hi, the option two approach is what has been done by the RPS at their
Bath UK HQ. I think it was done by David Burder, it was seeing the
quality of these slides that got me interested in 3d, by raising my
awareness that it was'nt 'just those awful red/blue things'

At Bath there is a small display of about ten slides each with
individual viewers, they are split into two groups of 5 each on a slow
release light switch, the quality is very good, glass lenses etc.

Maybe you could contact Mr Burder and find out who knows about the
construction of this display, after a recent revisit I noticed that the
pictures are changed quite frequently.
