Anaglyph Projection

While I just know this subject has been discussed by all you "experts" 
out there, please humor me. I'm looking for information on the projection 
of anaglyph slides. Seems as though it would require less equipment 
(standard slide projector, standard screen), slides would be probably as 
bright as normal 2D slides, no loss of light because of filters or 
polarized glasses.....where's the catch? Seems too simple, there has to 
be catch. Please oh great wise ones, enlighten me.

I really would appreciate any help on this subject.
