OK, Sam... I agree. Then you have to get Dr. T's variable power supply
PS-1 which is voltage-regulated, will support up to 0.8 A (perfect for the
halogen bulb) and will not show any voltage drop no matter what bulb you
use. The voltage is adjustable from 1.2 V to 2.8 V, perfect replacement
for the pair of batteries. Easy to install, just take the batteries off
and attach the alligator clips to the contacts. Comes with detailed
instructions showing various tips like bypassing the viewer's switch, etc.
Reasonably priced too! The only catch is that I am out of stock and with a
pile of viewers to work on will not have time to make a new batch until
1997. -- George
