Forgive me, please, if I speak out of ignorance, but doesn't a change in
wavelength translate into a shift in color (shorter wavelengths being
bluish and longer ones being redish). It is with some degree of
trepidation that I, a newcomer, contradict Dr. T, but I believe that the
scattering of light is just that; spreading it around, as opposed to
changing its frequency...and that a small scattering might appear as a
loss of contrast and a more severe scattering as a loss of sharpness.
Please tell me if I am wrong.
