RE: Cliff would have no problem if all involved would use the correct
term..American Stereo format! The 35mm format is the 1 x 4-inch slide
which has a pair of American format windows 22.5 x 24mm or a pair of
European format windows 24x30mm! The American format is that originated
by the Realist and adopted by all American made stereo cameras..and soem
foreign ones aiming at the American market. So the StereoGraphic is
American format=Realist format.
Now I have good advice for Cliff..GET a VIEWER! Ask Dr. T if he has a
soiled one cheap? No finisher mounts stereo usually but a rare one or
two like Kodaluxe do and mount them for the 35mm slide size noted above
in the American format. So with a viewer you can even have them mounted
"by Kodak" in Dallas. No one is going to cut two Realist frames and try
to stuff them in a 2x2 mount as a pair. The beam-splitter devices that
make ONE FRAME that fits a 2x2 as a 24x36mm normal slide, have images
only 18mm wide, so a stereo would be cropped from the 22.5mm width to
18mm if it could be cut at great effort. BobH
