Jim, Mike K replied to this too.  In short, the Realist cutter is not a 5p
cutter, it is a cut in-between perforations cutter.  It will cut any length
but always between perforations (it can be adjusted to cut precicely at the
same spot between perforations too).  If you don't count right it will
miscut your Realist roll to 6, 4 perf., or whatever.  It will also cut full
frame or half frame 35 mm film.

Pull-through or friction.  I have used done for a long time by taking the
bottom off (to get some light under the film).  I try to cut between
perforations for Realist format.  It does the job and fairly quickly.
