You're right that I didn't talk about that much! Thanks for expanding
my description.
I did kindof reference it when I said that
"The cutter cuts a (manually) calibrated distance from a perf-hole".
"Manual calibration" is perhaps a bit vague. :-)

I think it's a good idea to "check" periodically even within the same
film "strip", let alone changing films. Just paranoid I guess....
