This sounds like one for Dr. T - but, you can prevent the cork from
getting compressed right were you need it not to by DE-FOCUSING the
iewer before you put it away.

That way the compression will be out of the way when you are using
the viewer.

Sometimes. if the cork isn't too old, you can move the focusing
rod off of the indetation and the cork may puff itself back up.

If it does, you can follow the above advice... or...
