<RE: Cliff says he sent his ideas on a 3-D stereo to "main man" at Kodak!
<I presume that is the CEO?
The information was sent to the CEO, as well as the Director of the
Submitted ideas office.
<This will be very interesting for Cliff I think so will wait to see what
<happens. Usually in American industry you will get you stuff back with a
<letter saying we haven't peeked and please do not send us this stuff
<unless you have a patent and have protected yourself, as we sure don't
<want to get accused of stealing your idea!
I'll let you know what happens, but I won't have to worry about getting a
"sorry we didn't peek" type letter. Mine was not an unsolicited mailing.
I had e-mail, phone and snail mail conversations on the proper routine.
The submission of course is patented, or I never would have sent it.
That's what took me all this time to send it.
<They may be especally senstive since the Polaroid patent suit drained
<them dry. BobH
Yeah but Kodak of all companies will not be held at bay....They do have
tougher standards and procedures for procuring non-employee inventions,
ideas, what have you...but they won't ever stop looking for new
creativity. They are after all brave pioneers of photography for the mass
market.
*On an ending note, I would not be disappointed if this idea of mine
fails. In 1989, I had invented a device that would eliminate the need for
a second game cartridge in head to head Nintendo Gameboy games (to save
kids money) The Naki Corp. wasworking with me on it and loved the idea,
but then the popularity of the games fell and I was dropped like a hot
potato.
A few other inventions lost in time due to trend....... Shape bulbs,
Inflate-A-Star,
The singing Bible (an idea of mine which was copied by someone, I suspect
from where I submitted) and then there was my cellulose untraceable
impact bullet.
So.... I'll not be in dismay if this dosen't fall through. All I'm going
to get out of the deal anyway is a $350 Digital camera. It's the art of
thinking low and receiving.
Any other inventors or people who think they are on here?
