I think this relates more to film 'ripening' as well as storage of the
latent image. Before exposure..the film continues to change balance. Pro
films are released when the balance is optimum (color fidelity of the
three layers). Amateur films that are left in the camera long times, are
shipped when "green" adn ripen to optimum color later, perhaps when
purchased or developed after a bit. BUT the color shifts are minor and
if noted by test and film kept in refrigerator can be compensated by CC
filter. Most people can't see these changes due to variety of light
sources used in viewing. I think Dr. Georges grain and color balance are
more due to heat and humidity than time. BobH
