McKay's "Third Dimension"

Thanks to Bob Howard, I received McKay's Stereo Guild publication "The
Third Dimension", Mar. 1951 . Interesting info in there... A long
article on use of Anglelens Close-up lenses (Elliott you have a copy
coming), Busch Verascope, Better Color in viewers, film identifier and
"Pink Eye". This is the kind of practical information that I once
wished that we had on a regular basis and Stereo World cannot provide.
But, today we have photo-3d running 24 hours a day! Also, Dalia's
magazine is covering a lot of this in written form.

I liked McKay's comment on Verascope's ability to take mono pictures:

"There is another feature which is given a lot of publicity, especially
in France. This is the mono-stereo control. [goes on to describe it]
The point is this. The writer cannot imagine why anyone who has stereo
facilities at hand should want to make monoculars. The thing works, it
works satisfactorily, and if anyone should, for any conceivable reason
want to make some monos when he can make stereo, here is the mechanical
device to make it possible....but why do it?"

Great McKay! I love this guy! Have found more interesting McKay quotes
in the PSA Journals. Will reproduce them here as the time allows...
