RE: Hayden Baldwin quotes from a 1994 patent for a stereo disc and says
it sure sound like the Viewmaster disk to him...IN 1994?
I see more to this as Hayden has forgotten the DISC camera whose
negative arrangement was in a disc much like the Viewmaster disk.
Suppose a new disc camera was designed to expose opposite pairs on the
disc. The cameras already had motor wide auto exposure and compactness.
(The irony was they took the same frame as a 9mm Minox but were gigantic
in comparison as a camera.)
So I see this perhaps as conceiving a disc of transparencies in stereo
with a viewer system..not a bad idea as the frames aren't that much
different in size that a Viewmaster frame?? BobH
The disc camera disc can still be processed by most large finishers as
there are still thousands out there, how used I don't know.
