Ron Zakowski owns the rights to the Stereo Realist trademark, and the 
company has returned to the original Dave White brandname.  They continue to 
make very high quality rangefinders used for surveying.  If you were to 
approach Ron about your idea, perhaps you could obtain his blessing.
