Orlando Club meeting
- From: P3D Paul Enchelmayer <paulench@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
- Subject: Orlando Club meeting
- Date: Thu, 10 Oct 1996 23:52:19 -0400
At our October 1996 meeting we again had several communities of the
Central Florida area represented by participants traveling long
distances to get here.
Art Fisher of Melbourne, Florida, demonstrated the Toshiba VHS 3-D video
camera with tapes he had made, some clips from hollywood 3-D films, and
a live WIRELESS demonstration. The Toshiba camera was located across the
room with no physical connection to the VCR or monitor, yet perfect 3-D
images could be viewed of the participants in the room!
Next, Orlando's Giles Hoglund showed us some clips from the many 3-D
travel videos he has produced using an exacting technique incorporating
the Pulfrich effect. The images were dazzling and his many years of
motion picture work were evident in the high quality of image elements
(composition, editing, etc.). These tapes were examples of how well the
Pulfrich effect can be utilized for very entertaining
informational videos.
The afternoon was capped off by club founder Brad Ashbrook's showing of
a PSA polarized stereo slide show he was able to obtain for this
meeting. We viewed some of the best of the best!
