No, actually the answer is real expensive SLIDE scanners (the Nikon and Polaroid
scanners are the most common for home and small business use, and range from
$1000 to $2000). Some flatbed scanners come equipped with a lighted top for
transparency scanning, but I've only had moderate success with this, and it's
pretty expensive, too. Since you are already using a hand scanner, you could
probably find a lab that will make prints from your slides, and then scan them.
And I think someone else has already suggested the Photo-CD route, which is
probably even better. One final piece of advice--if you're going to be doing a
lot of graphics scanning, save your nickels and dimes and get at least a decent
flatbed scanner. The extra control over what you're doing is worth it!
