I paid to see it last night, even though the LA Times gave it a bad
review & suggested "Save your money!" I say go ahead and spend your
money (better yours than mine?) Looks like the 3rd 3D movie boom is
coming ...care of IMAX 3D. And not to upset those on the list that are
waiting for an IMAX 3D theater in your area, Edwards is advertising
their Ontario (California) 22 screen theater is opening in December
with their 2nd IMAX 3D screen in southern California. Now I'll have one
by work and one by home...great!

Yes it is...IMAX knows their target audience (school field trips?).

The theater here had that prop on display!

Very nice! Way cool looking 3D!

Too bad they couldn't have the bubbles stay in focus as they drifted
over to me, with all the other CGI work it would have been easy!

Yes, great effects, finally the personal sound is used, great 3D, all
narration though, Eric, do you think that is because it was pretty much
a Japanese production (change the language for the country)
or due to the fact that the IMAX 3D camera makes so much noise and
doesn't allow dialog while filming? (Wings of Courage had voice over).
Also, I noticed in the latest Variety (weekly) that Wings of Courage
and Across the Sea of Time are still in the top 50 weekly Box Office
$$$$$. Courage dropped down, due to going from 6 screens to 5 then
back to 6. It was dropped here for L5, so now it is back to 5 (I
guess). While I'm on the subject, recently Variety had a short story on
the ground breaking of the Kuala Lumpur, Mayaysia (Southeast Asia's
first ) IMAX 3D theater.

I feel I am also rambling...but, one more quick (?) note. This week
Daily Variey had an article entitled "3-D Comeback continues, Sans
Eyewear". It dealt with Max Keller, whose Keller Entertainment Group
is marketing a system that promises to deliver stereoscopic 3D images
without glasses for arcades. (Sounds similiar to Stephen Hines' Hineslab
work?). (Marvin...) The article starts out..."When most people think of
3D films, they see...audience(s) in the...1950s staring...at the
screen, wearing goofy-looking red-and-green-lensed glasses."

Okay...one last (really) thing, I understand (4th hand) the new Stereo
World is out.
