And furthermore!! 888-) I would like to know who wrote the math
behind Bill's explanation of SL3D. Why can't he who wrote it come
forward and explain it? What we have is a diagram with no known
physical model behind it and math that applies to that diagram.
Give us the model behind the diagram! Don't fade away and tell me
that, as Bryan did, "Revealing how the device works will wreck the
patent." Bushwah! I don't want to hear that again. The patent
protects the device just fine and does not depend a whit on how
the thing works nor does it even depend on whether the patent
holder _understands_ how it works! I also don't want to hear it
is metaphysical. For anyone interested in the diagram and the
math, get llp and convscar by anonymous ftp (or the web) from
bobcat. Also shown is the conventional understanding of SL3D.

ftp bobcat.etsu.edu
cd pub/photo/photo-3d/SL3D
binary
get llp.gif
get convscar.gif

The plot shows how well the results of Bill's math agree with the
results of the conventional math. It's an _astoundingly_ good
fit. Until proven wrong, I will contend that this is a curve-fit
job and an accidental agreement. (Primarily because I'm
cantankerous.) You can also see the diagram and math in Bill's
SPIE paper; I've lost the citation but Bill can tell us. My
drawing turns Bill's drawing 90 degrees to fit on the paper but
otherwise it's the same and at the time it was drawn, was approved
by Bill. One presumes there has been no change in that status.
