Pre-mount viewer

Hi, all, especially "Realist" people.
Do you enjoy the mounting work, or fed up with it?
If latter, I'd like to introduce my way.

I use my original pre-mount viewer (do not mean "un-cut roll viewer").
After hanging processed rolls for over an hour, I cut the rolls with
scissors into stereo pairs of chips.
Then I line up the stereo chips in two rows on an illuminated box.
Next, I put my pre-mount viewer on each stereo pairs one by one, to
check
the focus, composition, exposure, color...*in 3-D*, if I should mount it
or not.

I usually divide the stereo pairs into three. First ones; I mount them
right away. They are best shots (for me). Second ones; I will mount them
later( or in the future) when I need. They are stocked with the data
(date, place, camera...). The last ones; I throw them away.
So the number of stereo pairs that I mount on that day are not so many,
it doesn't distress me.

Well, what's pre-mount viewer?
That's simple. Get a cheap SV-1 plastic viewer from Reel 3-D.
Then you take off the white defuser from it. That's all. If you want
perfection, clean up the mark of glue and cut off tiny projections.
This pre-mount viewer is very useful since you can check images in 3-D
before mounting.

Incidentally, my favorite original pre-mount viewer is not made with SV-
1.
I use wollensak viewer lenses from Dr.T and as the body I use parts of
broken
Arcadia viewer. That's a super pre-mount viewer.

You can see the picture of the pre-mount viewers in my homepage.

Wow, I forgot to tell the important news. :-)
I've opened my homepage "Shilo's Stereo-cyber-Scopic Secret Site".

I used Progressive JPEG files, so it requires Netscape2.0 or later.
