I agree. I've never cut the leader for putting film in any 50's stereo
camera that I've used, including the Realist, and I haven't had any
film loading problems. Double exposure problems on my old realist yes, but
not loading problems. To me, having to trim the leader is itself a "problem"
that I'd like to avoid. :-)
Technique with the Realist needs to be the changed to the "modified loading for
short leader instructions" sequence printed in Reel-3D's "updated/appended" Realist
manual copy (probably the same as methods mentioned from time to time on this
list).
