Sneaking one more picture in the roll?

LeRoy Barco has noticed that he can sneak in an extra picture in a roll
(20th in 24 exp., also could be 30th in 36 exp.) and he says:

>I have space, almost always, for at wentieth exposure but don't take
>the chance.

What chance don't you take???? It is either waste the film or sneak
one more picture... If the picture is important then retake it in the
next roll, or, just to be absolutely sure, the first and second picture
in a new roll.

There is only one thing that can go wrong: If, as you are advance
to the last frame, you do _not_ hear the click, that means that there
is no space for one more pair. If you attempt to take this last
picture then you will overlap with the previous one and end up
spoiling two pictures (yes, it has happened to me too!)

So, don't shoot if you don't hear the click. If it clicks, go
ahead and take another one (and hope that your film developing
center does not cut it off -- mine uses dunk-processing and returns
the entire roll uncut.)
