Hi there!
As you know,  we Brits don't agree with the french very often,  but in 
the case of stereo projection we do.   We,  The Widescreen Centre,  are 
strong advocates of using two separate 35mm (or 6x6) projectors for all 
3-D work.  First and formost,  getting enough light on the screen is 
less of a problem;  you can use standard production 35mm slide 
projectors (although, in our case,  we also include PR  - Pin Register  
- on the Kindermann machines that we sell.  For accurate alignment you 
need PR.  Also,  with the Kindermanns we can mount the polarisers 
directly on to the lenses since the latter do NOT revolve for focusing. 
The Royale,  mentioned in passing,  also uses PR and is a superb 
projector,  but specialised.
