Metal Knobbed Older Realist Viewer?

That Realist Red Button viewer I told you about....came today in the
mail....in a brown promotions case....one a salesman would have used on the
road....with a bunch of fantastic professionally shot glass mounted slides
with that red tape we all loathe that dries and falls off.

The images are so funny....promotions from a cosmetics company....showing
their toothbrushes, hairbrushes ....combs....colognes...and more....all in
diplasy cases....with  creative studio lighting typefying that period in
time.

Now that viewer....it has a black metal knob.....a few tiny scuff marks on
the knob reveal that it is metal underneath....but what is the proof of it
being a very early model....any other hints...
the quality of the lenses.....fine.....although this one needs Themelisizing
by all means.....should I see a noticeable difference in the optical
quality....speak to me oh great purveyor of the Themelisized viewer!!  Jon
