Yes that is true and has been available for quite a while. You can find
addresses very easily on the net and have used it for good advantage
myself several times. Not only that but you get the address from one site
and go on another site where you enter the address and you can get a street
map with the specific location of the point of interest. You can specify also
the zoom from continental US to street level. Now how does this thread relate
to 3d? Well I think it is useful to know of these services on the net in
regards to future NSA conventions. I used these services extentsively when
I made my plans to go to my first NSA convention at Rochester. I checked
for alternate hotels and its locations and also to find how far the hotel
was from the bus station terminal. After I determined it was close walking
distance and would not need a cab I used the map I printed of the area with
the bus terminal and hotel identified on the map by the internet site. I did
this because if the distance was to far I didn't want to walk there at
5 o'clock in the morning. So these services will help to find alternate hotels
with cheaper rates and or finding the NSA convention sites in the future.
Now if someone wants to find out where I live, I have made it easy for
everyone. I have put up an anaglyph 3d arial map of my house at

The house in question is at coordinates 120,40 with 0,0 being in the top left.
