Re: Rare Kodaslide II

Bill, I would like some info on this. Someone called some time ago
and asked me questions about his dad's Kodaslide viewer. He mentioned
a piece of glass in the back side of the slide carrier that was broken
and he asked about possible replacement. I told him that there is no
such thing and that his dad must have added it like a forsted glass to
better diffuse the light, or perhaps it is just a broken glass from a
glass-mounted slide. He acted surprised and said that he thought that
the viewer came like that but I insisted that this is not the case.
Could it be that he had one of the prototype viewers? I don't know and
I don't think I can find his number now. He said that the viewer was
left in the attic and it was in a bad shape. I am afraid it might have
ended in the trash by now.
What is that glass for? Is it to diffuse the light? Is it frosted or
clear? What do you mean by "reflector". The guy in the phone could
not explain it to me.
Thanks! -- George Themelis
