His reference is to visiting the real world, (Michael Jordan's home) as
opposed to the flat world of Looney Toon land.  The strange thing though, is
that the cartoon world is portrayed as a 3-D environment too, not as flat
cels.  
(BTW, I did some work on the advertising, thats how I know these things)

The animation is pretty incredible for "flat 3-D" (now thats an oxymoron).
 But when you think about it, except for the interaction with live
characters, it wouldn't actually be that much more work for them to make a
full 3-D version.  Once they've worked out the animation to render the frames
for flat, its basically a matter of offsetting the camera position slightly
to create the proper interocular distance, something most 3-D graphics
programs do fairly automatically.  So, hopefully we'll see a lot more
animated 3-D movies. (Or at least maybe they'll show the one for the New York
store out here in So Cal.)
