Hi David,
I had a sticky shutter problem on my Realist recently, its pretty easy
to repair, if you feel up to it, no guarantees.
1. remove black plastic front cover by 4 screws, lift of complete with
speed dial.
2. remove front plate with 4 screws, but dont try and lift it off. then
remove 4 screws on the top plate. Lift the top plate slightly to allow
the front plate to come off.
3. This reveals the speed setting machanism, and at the bottom of the
lenses there is a bar linking both sides of the shutter mechs. wiggling
this bar will operate the shutters. In my case the problem was that the
right hand pivot screw was loose. I simply tightened it up to restore
normal operation. I would not recommend lubrication unless you know
what you are doing.
4. to reassemble ensure the pins from the front plates line up, also
check the alignment of the shutter trip indicator on the top.
Then again YMMV.
