Good for you, George. We all should do likewise.
What I meant by 5p being a "limitation" is that other factors
essentially dictated the format. The "freedom" to design a
photo format exists when you only need to place one image
somewhere along a strip of "celluloid."
Trying to figure out how to place two pictures there and leave
room for others when the lenses are a specific distance apart
limits one's "freedom" to choose an aspect ratio. That is
the "limitation" I referred to.
We, however, are not limited - not in that aspect - not in the same
ratio.
Kodak does not hesitate to provide us with yet another film dimension
if it suits them. Film "size" is not a problem for them. They gave
us 110, Disc, and now APS! [Apparently usefulness is not a consideration
of theirs either ;-) ]
