I knew I should have made you sign a non-disclosure agreement
when I gave you my ideas. There goes my patent plans. ;;;-)
BTW I do prefer medium format to 35mm. I have stated this a few
times before. To me it seems that it approaches reality. Now I
don't know for sure but maybe you can answer this for me, but
it seems that it is not possible to get the same immersion with
35mm or smaller images no matter how much you magnify them to
the same size as medium format views if that is possible. What
I have noticed with the 35mm or smaller views is that if you
magnify the view it doesn't really look bigger but closer which
is not necessarily the same thing. I think in lens theory they
describe this magnification correctly when they mention magnification
actually makes things look closer and not really bigger. Is this
correct or am I all wet and mixed up something here. I am not sure
about this. Another example is looking at television. You can't
really simulate watching a 60 inch set by sitting nearer to a
29 inch set and likewise for viewers. That's what I have noticed
and that's why I prefer medium or larger formats. I guess thats
another reason why I like prints, because its easier to blow up
a print and use appropriate viewers. Then again projection would
be another way.
