Oh drat! I've spilled the beans again. (In all seriousness,
57 width and 80 mm lens is normal in MF stereo. Compare to
21.4 or 28 width with 44 or 50 mm lenses in a miniature format
viewer.)

Grab a towel. ;-) With magnification you can make your eyes
focus close or far depending on how far you set the magnifier lens
from the transparency. I personally set it so that the (virtual)
image is at infinity. This is most comfortable for me.
