Defective Realists

Just thought I'd clarify my remark...
I looked up the definition of the word defective in Microsoft's Bookshelf:

defective (di-fek'tiv) adjective
Abbr. def.
1. a. Having a defect; faulty: a defective appliance. b. Marked by subnormal
structure, function, intelligence, or behavior: defective speech.

2. Grammar. Lacking one or more of the inflected forms normal for a
particular category of word, as the verb may in English.

I was using it per usage 1a. If your Realist is not working correctly, it
is defective. This was perhaps a poor choice of words since defective
can be one of those 'loaded' words, but I was trying to avoid using the
word leaky again. However, when 51% of Realists surveyed have light
leaks, I can hardly call that small. I am not urging anyone to
give up either, but as one who spent the better part of two years
correcting the light leaks in my FED, I think people should be told
honestly and up front what they're in for. Now I'd like to know just
what quality problems DID Seton Rochwite have with the David White Co.!
Sounds like a good question for Seton or Zak...
