I own one and I also have a COLORIST II.
I don't want to start a "which is the best camera" discussion but it's the
camera I use most. It has it all : Good Rodenstock lenses, standard hotshoe,
view and rangefinder through the SAME eyepiece, various shutterspeeds.
The only possible drawback is that in many cases the take up spool needs
repair. The plastic is fragile. If your's works, hold on to it.
The VIVID looks "dashing" but has this awfull non standard flash contact.
I think it was Charles Piper who mentionned calibration and adjustment
problems with the VIVID (focus, rangefinder and DOF indicator).
Mine does not produce the sharpes pictures ever which could be due to this
problem.
I love all my camera's for different reasons but the COLORIST is the one
who accompanies me most of the time because to me it's the most convenient
of all.
Amen. :-)
Patrick.
