Re: Anonymity in competitions

The "anonymity tradition" is always touch-and-go within a club. In SCSC,
whenever we see a shiny fire engine, we know Larry Brown has been at work again,
a nude in a wheat field is Abe Perlstein, anything shot with fisheye lenses is
Susan Pinsky, etc. Erick Perkhiser, who is in the rock band the Cramps, always
shoots fantasy images that look like album covers--in fact, some of them ARE his
album covers. And Earl Colgan's nature studies are usually extremely
recognizable. Anonymity is a great concept for a competition, but our creations
carry our genes within them, and in the "closed society" of a club, they're
often as recognizable as the mailman's illegitimate baby.
