That wouldn't make sense, because if it's a 8-perf image, it would have 7
chances in 8 of being out of register. I was told by a 3Discover rep in L.A.
that the sprockets were unique to the system; if, as George reports from
personal experience, they are standard sprockets, then the rep was probably
giving me a "dumbed down" explanation. But it DOES seem logical to me that there
is something about the film that allows the cartridge to "know" when the
pictures are in register.
