Re: RITTAI
No, the Rittai is not OUT AGAIN....it's never been anywhere. The
problem has been persuading photo dealers to buy and stock it. there
are also two newer models (Minitech I and II) which we saw at
Photokina. But, unlike the Rittai, they don't have the pendulum for
uprighting.
We, The Widescreen Centre, now have 180 stores selling 3-D around the
U.K. plus outlets in all the Duty Free Airport shops. We're trying to
get a wider circulation for 3-D in general. To this end we deliberately
do not handle the old stereo equipment (Realist, Nimslo et el). We're
trying to generate a modern image in the mind of the public in the U.K.
and elsewhere.
Incidentally, as an ex-marketing/advertising man I always thought the
Nishika a 'hoot' with its false everything....but great fun and it did
work. I've kept a brand new one in our London ("Sherlock Holmes")
Store.
