Hold on to your seats..... I have a T'dRB viewer (and LOVE it) but still
carry around a $3 viewer.

When going to big antique-shows, or camera-shows, or "places like that"
I take a backpack into which I can put things before doing a dumping trip
back to the car. This allows me to have my hands free, and it's easier on
my lower back as well. Women have purses to hold things, I use a backpack
because it does the job in a sufficiently "macho" style to be acceptable. :-)

I never know when I might run into somebody with realist format slides for
me to look at -- and the seller not having any viewers and/or the viewers
not having any batteries and/or the viewers already in use by people who
aren't going to be finished for quite a while. All three situations
have happened.

So I carry around a $3 viewer in one of the small "pockets". It's always
there. It's light (MUCH lighter than a T'dRB w/batteries) so it doesn't
contribute to back fatigue and I don't mind if it gets broken due
to the backpack banging around.

No, it isn't as good optically, but carrying a $3 viewer around isn't
really all that bad. Works better than freeviewing realist slides.

Now using it at home instead of the T'dRB would be HORRIBLE!!!!!
