Thanks for the ideas Ron!

I had a friend who's father was a very serious amateur photographer.  He
took his daughter to his photo jaunts but made her carry his photo bag.  
As a result, she grew up with bad memories of photography.

So, if you take your kids with you, don't make them carry your stuff! 
Show them that this is fun and not a chore!
