I agree with this and like to photograph what's before me the way I know
it rather than
the way I don't know it and will never know it (ie. with a flash). Usually
there's an appeal to the moment that comes from the light at that moment.
I would like to take photos of the city at nighttime, with 4 to 8 second
exposures.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the type of slide film to use?
I've tried one and forgot the brand, and the results were muddy and dense.
A few years ago I tried a slide duplicating film with 8 to 10 second
exposures and the pics were outstanding. I forgot the film type.
Ideally, the night scenes would have perceptible detail in the dark areas
and not be washed out in the areas that are lit up, while giving a warmth
to any neon lights .
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
