Paper Mounts for projection
So far, the reasons I've heard in favor of non paper mounts are
regarding accuracy in mounting and sharpness of the edges (as apposed
to the fuzzines of some paper mounts). I've also heard that glass
should be used to protect the slide and to keep the larger (than half
frame) formats flat.
I admit I don't have experience in projecting slides. But it seems
that when I've mounted my Nimslo chips in the slip-in mounts I can
cut each chip a little narrower and end up with about 0.5 mm play (left
and right). And, since they are slip-in there is plenty of adjust
-ability up and down. I then could use the Reel-3D little stickum
tabs to secure each chip.
HOWZZATSOUND?
As you can guess, I've got a few rolls to mount and am fishing for
ideas that will help me get ready for my first slide show this
Thanksgiving. I've got to order more mounting supplies, and twenty
cardboard polaroid glasses. My fortunate kinfolk will get to (have
to?) sit through a slide show this Thanksgiving. I've yet to pick
the music, and pick the slides. I plan to practice and practice!
(Do you think Klezmer would be good for slides of Jerusalem?)
Thanks muchly for all your inputs!
