Mike, I would like to agree with you, but since I make a line of fine AC
adapters (for all battery-operated viewers), I'll have to disagree!!!  If
you are using your viewer for long periods of time, the AC adapter makes
sense.  In addition to saving a bit of money, it gives you constant
illumination.  Plus (my adapters) gives you voltage control and can be used
for continuous operation (no swittches to press).  Plus, taking it in and
out is a breeze so you can have it both ways!
